Please see attached a simple Tick or Cross sheet to help start a coaching session when batting. The test is for 24 balls. A tick will be rewarded if the player is in control of the shot whether it be an attacking or defensive. I.e. they have shown a solid base and are balanced throughout the shot. A cross is given to a player if they are not in control and lose their shape.

This exercise can help the batsmen get focus before or during a net. (Perhaps a challenge if they do not hit their benchmark) The batsmen can then set a benchmark of 18/24 balls he/she must be in control of the shot. This benchmark can be increased or decreased depending on the bowler/form etc.
